Obituary: Vincent J. Ferri, 81

Vincent J. Ferri of Smithfield passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16 at Miriam Hospital.  He was 81 years old. He leaves behind his wife, Colleen (Burns) Ferri.

He was born in Providence a son of the late Michael V. and Michelina (Venditto) Ferri. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Michael V. Ferri and his wife Corinne of Northbridge, MA. He is also survived by a grandson, his best buddy, Timothy Michael Ferri. He was the brother of Anita Colasanto of Coventry and the late John Ferri.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Esmond, RI. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mary Tarro, a close dear friend, may be made to Team Tarro, Inc., P.O. Box 16444, Rumford, RI 02916 which is a charitable non-profit organization that supports local efforts for fighting Breast Cancer.
