Plane Skids Off Runway
A small plane crash landed off the runway at North Central Airport this morning.
NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI -- Emergency workers responded to North Central Airport this morning for a small plane that crash landed and skidded off the runway, local police and news outlets say.
Six people were on board, and no one was injured, according to Jim Warcup, of the state airport corporation.
The Cessna Citation was en route from Alleghany, Penn.

Around 10:30 a.m., the pilot overshot Runway 5 and went about 200 feet off the end of the runway.
Warcup said the Federal Aviation Administration, the National Transportation Safety Board and state aviation officials are investigating.
