Providence Grand Jury Indicts Woman for Allegedly Dealing Marijuana

Donna Reis, 58, of Smithfield, has been indicted on drug charges, the state Attorney General's office said.

SMITHFIELD, RI—Donna Reis, 58, of Smithfield, has been indicted by the Providence Grand Jury, according to the state Attorney General's Office.

She faces one count of marijuana possession (more than five kilos); one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, one count of possession of a controlled substance, and one count of conspiracy to violate the Rhode Island Uniform Controlled Substances Act.

She allegedly also possessed the controlled substance tetrahydrocannabinol, the AG's office said. All the alleged offenses happened in Providence.

The Smithfield Police Department conducted the investigation. Reis is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior court on Feb. 1.
