Score Free Tix to the Silk Road Ensemble at Bryant U

The internationally acclaimed Silk Road Ensemble, a group of virtuoso musicians from India, Japan, Israel, Spain, Iran, the United States and China, is scheduled to , as part of the University’s President’s Cultural Series — and Smithfield residents can get two free tickets to attend.

Performers include Kayhan Kalhor, master of the kamancheh; Wu Man, called by the Los Angeles Times “the artist most responsible for bringing the pipa to the Western World”; and Sandeep Das, considered one of the leading tabla players today. NPR Music applauded this “serious all-star ensemble” for its “fabulous energy” at globalFEST in New York earlier this year.

• Smithfield residents: Two complimentary tickets per household (additional tickets, $20 each)
• Complimentary tickets are also available to Bryant students, faculty, and staff at the Bryant Center Information Desk. Limit: two per person.
• General admission: $20
• Bryant alumni: $10 if reserved in advance
• Non-Bryant students and teachers: $10 with I.D.
