Smithfield Detectives Make Drug Arrest At The Speedway
Police say they seized cocaine, heroin and Oxycodone pills.

SMITHFIELD, RI — Police arrested a Smithfield man on Thursday night at the Speedway Gas station on Putnam Pike. Joseph Catoni, 21, of was suspected of dealing drugs in Town. He was taken into custody shortly before 8 p.m. in the parking lot of Speedway Gas Station, 263 Putnam Pike.
Police allege Catoni was in possession of 10.5 grams of cocaine, 8.1 grams of heroin and (13) thirteen Oxycodone pills. He was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Oxycodone and was cited for marijuana possession (under 1 oz.) Catoni was also wanted by the Johnston Police on a Breaking and Entering charge. He was held overnight and is being arraigned Friday in Kent County District Court.
