Smithfield Man Accused Of Exposing Himself Over Music Complaint

Police said Carsetti pulled down his pants and exposed his genitals after a neighbor asked him to turn down music he was blasting outside.

SMITHFIELD, RI — Police arrested a man after a neighbor said he exposed himself because the neighbor complained the man was playing music too loud. Police charged John B. Carsetti, of 2 Smithfield., was charged with indecent exposure.

Police said they received a complaint from a Greenville resident who said Carsetti pulled down his pants and exposed his genitals after asking that Carsetti turn his music down. Carsetti was playing the music outside on loud speakers in his yard

According to the Providence Journal, the neighbor videotaped his interactions with Carsetti, and the police got a warrant for Carsetti's arrest.

Police said Carsetti was taken into custody Thursday and later appeared in Kent County District Court. He was held without bail and is scheduled to appear in District Court on Oct. 11.
