Smithfield Police Seize Pills, Marijuana & Arrest Suspect

Bryan J. Gartner, 46, of Smithfield, is suspected of selling drugs.

SMITHFIELD, RI—Police raided a house on Walter Carey Road on Wednesday, seized narcotics and fireworks and arrested a suspect. Bryan J. Gartner, 46, of Smithfield was suspected of selling drugs. Police obtained a warrant and searched the property at 2:30 p.m.

They found Gartner with eight bags of Marijuana (weighing 2 ½ ounces), assorted pills (22 MDMA tablets, 46 Oxycodone pills, 3 Vicodin pills, 44 Diazepam pills, 28 Suboxone pills, 62 Lisdexamfetamine pills, 28 Concerta pills, 10 Clonazepam pills, 7 Tramadol pills, 21 Focalin pills, 2 Dexmethylphenidate pills, 67 Amphetamine pills), four boxes of Class C Fireworks, two digital scales, and narcotic packaging materials. He is being charged with 13 counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Class C Fireworks. He was held overnight and was to be arraigned Thursday in Kent County District Court.
