17-Year Old Stabs Father in Little Compton
The 17-year-old is being charged with assault with intent to commit murder.
A 17-year-old Little Compton boy is facing charges of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to murder after he allegedly stabbed his father during an altercation early Saturday morning.
Little Compton police said the juvenile stabbed his father in the neck and caused other superficial wounds to his head and the victim, 50, was initially transported to Charlton Hospital and later brought to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
Officers were dispatched to the house at around 1:30 a.m. after a report of the assault.

The victim was severely bleeding from the wounds, police said, and the juvenile was taken into custody without incident.
The teen is being held at the juvenile intake center in Cranston and will be arraigned on Monday.

The juvenile is not being identified as he is a minor.
