• August 24th, 2026 (einpresswire.com) — Tiverton residents are invited to a Town Council public hearing on August 24, 2026, about proposed changes to the zoning ordinance for age-restricted mixed-use communities. You can review the draft amendments at Town Hall, the Tiverton Public Library, or online before the meeting. Anyone wishing to comment should attend the 7 p.m. session at Town Hall.
   

• Tiverton fire station PFAS test results show no detectable levels (turnto10.com) — Tiverton officials report that water at Fire Station 1 on East Road shows no detectable levels of regulated PFAS chemicals, even as nearby private wells have tested high. The suspected source is historic foam use at Station 3 on Crandall Road, which will be tested later. State-installed filtration systems are being added in affected areas while monitoring continues.
