• DEM and TNC Conserve 27 acres in Tiverton (nature.org) — Newly conserved forestland in Tiverton now links Pocasset Ridge, Pardon Gray Preserve, and Weetamoo Woods, expanding a major green corridor overlooking the Sakonnet. State and nonprofit partners used federal Forest Legacy funding to permanently protect the 27-acre parcel, adding to more than 1,600 acres already conserved for wildlife habitat, clean water, and public enjoyment.
   

• In Tiverton, Contaminated Wells Spark Memories of Past Pollution Woes (ecori.org) — Tiverton residents facing PFAS-contaminated private wells are pushing for answers as officials plan a new Main Street water main to connect about 63 homes to clean water within two years. The crisis revives memories of Bay Street's long-running soil contamination battle, where decades-old industrial waste led to lawsuits, costly remediation, and a still-active digging moratorium.
