Tiverton Burglary Suspect Drove A Mercedes At Dartmouth Police Cruiser
The Massachusetts State Police air wing spotted the suspect, who abandoned his Mercedes near the Highland Avenue railroad tracks.
TIVERTON, RI—Michael Joseph Couto, 49, of Mattapoisett, Mass., is a suspect in a Tiverton burglary, police said. Dartmouth police caught him Friday. He was charged with felony Breaking and Entering and Larceny. In addition to the warrant, he was also charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (for allegedly going at a police cruiser), Fail to Stop, Speeding, Negligent Operation, and Marked Lanes Violation.
