Hands-on gravestone cleaning, resetting, and repair at the Congregational Cemetery #11 on Lake Road (just north of East Road). No experience or supplies needed, but work gloves might help (on the job training provided). Parking available at St. Madeleine’s parking lot. The Tiverton Farmers Market will kick off Quahog Week and celebrate Sunday, May 17th with a Quahog Themed Specialty Market. Join us at our first OUTSIDE&nbsp;MARKET of the 2026 season and enjoy everything quahog. Our vendors will be running specials, offering their take on the beloved state clam, the quahog and more. 
We will be offering a give-away bag to the first 60 kids dressed in their best Quahogger Outfits (any seaside theme is good). Find a baggie with a custom-made coloring booklet, stickers and local shells. Fun stuff for the kids to enjoy. Big thanks to our collaborator at, RISeafood.gov.

Amicable Congregational Church will present its next Monthly Speaker Series event, Inside Mental Illness, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the church, located at 3736 Main Road, Tiverton, RI. The event will address the realities of mental illness in Rhode Island, including the growing impact of anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and other disorders. Attendees will also learn about the stigma surrounding mental illness and the importance of education, compassion, and access to care. Rhode Island is facing a mental health crisis: • 16,000 Rhode Islanders ages 12–17 experience a major depressive episode each year • 10,000 Rhode Islanders ages 12–17 have serious thoughts of suicide annually • More than 6,000 adults have serious thoughts of suicide each year • 847 lives were lost to suicide in Rhode Island in 2025 Topics discussed during the presentation will include: • The power of stigma in society and how to create change • Personal stories that show hope and recovery are possible • Discussions covering mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and thought disorders including schizophrenia The evening’s message is grounded in hope, emphasizing that recovery from serious mental illness is not only possible, but probable for many individuals with the proper support and treatment. West Place Animal Sanctuary

After a long winter, West Place Animal Sanctuary’s Spring Visitors Weekend returns! Meet new farm animal rescues like Pua the piglet and Tad the Mandarin duck, and catch up with old favorites. You’ll also have a chance to explore the new West Place Defender 130 – a customized 1-of-1 vehicle that was awarded by Land Rover after the sanctuary won the 2025 Defender Service Awards!
Educational and interactive guided tours leave every 30 minutes, giving you 28 tours to choose from. Guests will spend more than an hour walking the beautiful and historic farm estate and getting up close and personal with the rescued farm animals and wildlife who call West Place home. Don’t miss the annual Spring Plant Sale, and be sure to check out new items in the West Place Gift Shop, including new apparel featuring the Defender artwork.
Special driving tours will leave at 4pm each day in our electric vehicle, which accommodates those who cannot participate in a walking tour and makes West Place fully accessible.
