Programs are for people of all backgrounds – artists and non-artists alike. The featured topic, Ansel Adams’ Artistry, offers an opportunity to admire and interpret the intriguing photographs of Ansel Adams, offering a renewed respect for his unique and visionary use of photography as an art form. Join local art historian Jill Sanford for an enjoyable hour of challenging yourself to see in new ways!Wednesday Evening October 14, 2026 from 6-7 PM located at 313 Long Highway Little Compton, RI 02837 This lecture is free, donations are welcome.  Seating is limited to 15 people. September is recognized as National Suicide Prevention Month in the U.S., a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote help-seeking for those at risk of suicide. Join us on Sunday, September 6th, for worship when we will explore a depiction of mental health crisis and care in our scripture. Rev. Maddie gives this content note so that folks for whom this is a tender topic can make the best choices for themselves about how to engage with worship.

Chase-Cory House

The early
 18th century dwelling, headquarters of the Tiverton Historical Society,
 with its early outbuildings, is open with tours Sundays from 2 to 4:30 
PM for the summer season. The Society's collection of early American 
antiques and furnishings are displayed in restored period rooms, as well
 as documents and artifacts from Tiverton's rich past. 
This season, special displays have been set up celebrating our 
country's semiquincentennial: a silk flag flown by George Washington's 
RI Infantry, a rare printing of the Declaration of Independence, a map 
of the 1778 Battle of RI showing redoubts and troop movements, a 
July 1776 surveyor's chart of Narragansett Bay and environs, Civil 
War uniforms, and more.
Outbuildings include the wash house, corn crib, and outhouse. The 
entrance is through the museum shop where historical books, Weetamoo 
Woods guide books, Tiverton mugs and ornaments, Tiverton Revolutionary 
militia placemats, copies of early Tiverton maps, Tiverton Bank 
bookmarks, and other items may be purchased.
The Chace-Cory House is located at 3908 Main Road, over the wall from
 Gray's Ice Cream at Tiverton Four Corners, and will be open from 2-4:30 
PM Sundays, June 7-Sept. 6 or by appointment. 
There is a preservation donation for non-members: $3 non-members, $2&nbsp;
 seniors (55+ yrs), members and children 12 years and younger free. For

Join us for the Friends of Westport Library's Annual Book Sale, featuring over 10,000 books, CDs, DVDs and LP albums across 20 well-stocked categories. Children's books are just $0.50 and all other titles are $3.00. The sale opens Saturday, September 12 in the Community Room of the Westport Free Public Library.
