Inspired by the wit of Shel Silverstein, the eccentricity of John Prine, with a dash of Spike Jones thrown in for good measure, Billy Mitchell’s songs resonate, involve and entertain, spanning emotionally from heartfelt to hilarious. He has been performing for over 30 years on Rhode Island waterfronts and regionally in venues like Dick’s Last Resort in Boston and The House of Blues on Sunset Strip in L.A. and numerous Songwriting Showcases in the Northeast. His most recent CD, DETOUR, was nominated Best Americana Album of 2012 by Motif Magazine. An unabashed Boomer, Billy is comfortable with any size crowd, but his specialty is intimate venues like Sandywoods, where he can connect with the audience. His performance philosophy is "It’s all about the audience - whatever gets them going."
Mary Ann Rossoni's music is cross-generational, original, acoustic rock n' roll, or, in today's terms, Americana. Her music is very upbeat and inspirational, but she's been known to throw a few hard-luck, gut-wrenching tunes into her sets for the weepy, pensive types. After all, her life isn't perfect either. Mary Ann Rossoni is a singular talent. She has a warm, rich voice that is an absolute pleasure to listen to. She writes intelligent, honest, and sometimes funny lyrics and wraps them in gorgeous arrangements. Most of all she projects a warmth and personal reality that comforts the listener and urges you to let your guard down and really listen.
