Observations
The Tiverton Land Trust will host the Astronomical Society
of Southern New England at Pardon Gray Preserve on Saturday, March 3, 2012 between 7:00 - 9:00
pm. Six powerful telescopes will focus
on the moon, the Orion Nebula, galaxies, and planets. The planets Venus and Jupiter will appear in the early western sky and the moons of Jupiter should be visible. This is an opportunity for young and old to
gaze deep into space with the guidance of expert astronomers. Should Saturday's sky be clouded over, the
event will be held on the following night, March 4th. Park at the Main Road entrance. This event is free to the public.
