The Narrows Gallery is pleased to present “The Liberty Street Printmakers: Plate to Print”, an exhibition by nine printmakers from the Newport Art Museum’s Coleman Center for Creative Studies.
This show offers a glimpse into the creative and varied world of printmaking. Works range in techniques from painterly monotypes and graphic monoprints to woodcuts, paper lithographs and mixed media. The exhibit will include samples of the base plates from which each artist interprets and creates their original print.
Artists shown include Mary Evans and Ginger Lacy both of Tiverton, Debbie Kostisin-Talbot of Portsmouth, Brian Pitts from Westport and Marion Wilner of Fall River. Other RI artists include Kelley Albert, Margot Rubin, Robin Vallese, and Jane McNally Wright.
