One Book, One Community: Caleb's Crossing

Living Literature will be presenting a three person, 45 minute version of Caleb's Crossing, a novel about a young man from Martha’s Vineyard, who, in 1665, became the first Native American to graduate from Harvard College. Living Literature is a collective of Rhode Island based artists and educators who use theatre style presentations to dramatize non dramatic writing; allowing the audience to experience the events and characters of the story in an unique way. Caleb's Crossing has been chosen as the 10th anniversary book selection by Reading Across America. The presentation will be followed by lively conversation about the book and refreshments.  Free and open to the public.  Please call the church office to RSVP at 401-635-8472.
