Former Tiverton Police Dispatcher Dies

A former police dispatcher of the Tiverton Police Department passed away Saturday.

Carol Lagoda worked in the department into the mid-1990’s for over 20 years.

“She was a friend, a mentor, a mother, and a professional,” the Tiverton Police Department wrote on their Facebook page Sunday. “She cared so much about people she would help but would never meet. When she would deal with us and the public it was amazing to watch her. She was tough and opinionated, yet warm and loving at the same time. Nothing would stand in the way of duty and making sure we all went home safe at the end of shift. We will miss her smile and her infectious laugh. We will miss it all. Heaven now enjoys the benefit of her. She has been promoted from dispatching her angels here to dispatching God’s. From all of us, past and present, at the Tiverton Police Department, our deepest prayers and condolences to Carol’s family and friends.”
