If you haven't planned ahead yet, here are some sweet things to do this Valentine's weekend.

It's Thursday before Valentine's Day weekend and you haven't got a plan in palce. Patch is coming to the rescue: We've collected a few nice and varied things for you to get out and enjoy with your loved ones over the next few days. Stay warm and Feel the Love!

Where/When: Sakonnet Vineyards, 162 West Main Road, Little Compton, RI, 02837, Saturday, Feb. 12, and Sunday, Feb. 13, from Noon to 3:30 pm
Why go? Sample wine, chocolate, cheese and more. Warm up by the fire with a glass of mulled wine as you sample famous Sakonnet Port truffles, other treats and cheeses.

When/Where: Crowther's Food and Drink, 90 Pottersville Road, Little Compton, RI, Sunday, Feb. 13, 2-4 pm.
Why Go? So many soups and chowders, so little time! This annual event benefits the Little Compton Community Center. You can taste everything and vote on your favorites.
Pricing: There is no admission cost, but cards for sampling vary in price.
When/Where: Narrows Center for the Arts, 16 Anawan St., Fall River. Two shows this weekend: Luther "Guitar Jr." Johnson on Friday, Feb. 13 and Buckwheat Zydeco on Feb. 13.
Why Go? Great Venue for Live Music. Luther Johnson offers a unique blend of soul/funk/blues; be ready to get on the dance floor for Buckwheat Zydeco's Mardi Gras Party.
Pricing: Johnson $20 in advance; $23 day of show; Zydeco, $25 in advance; $28 day of show.
When/Where: Friday, Feb. 11 at the Hotel Viking in Newport, starting with a preview party from 6:30-6:30; main event at 6:30 pm.
Why go? Because you love animals, and want to help an them find love and happy homes. This is Potter's main fundraising event of the year, featuring a silent auction with more than 200 items, food drinks and more.
Pricing: Tickets are $85 in advance or $100 at the door for the Preview Party and Main Event or $60 in advance and $75 at the door for the Main Event only.

When/Where: Portsmouth Multi Purpose Senior Center, 110 Bristol Ferry Road, Sunday, Feb. 13, 6 to 8 p.m.
Why Go: Learn the basics of modern western square dancing from nationally recognized square dance caller, Jim Schell. Refreshments will be served.
