Little Compton Man Flips Truck in Accident

The man was ejected from the pickup truck after he lost control of the vehicle, officials say.

A serious motor vehicle accident involving a pickup truck caused the Little Compton driver to be ejected from the vehicle Wednesday night in Tiverton.

The truck was traveling westbound when it drove off the road, struck a pole and flipped over near Main Road and Bulgarmarsh Road, the Providence Journal reported.

Officers responded to the accident and found the driver conscious. Joseph G. Marshall, 58, of Little Compton, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, according to the Journal.

Marshall was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.

The accident is under investigation.
