Little Compton Man Wanted On Burglary Charge Captured: Cops

The Little Compton man had failed to appear in court for a prior breaking and entering case, as well as other charges, police said.

LITTLE COMPTON, RI — A Little Compton man wanted on a burglary charge was captured, police said.

Luther Parente, 42, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday by the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Little Compton Police Department, the state police said in a media release.

In addition to the burglary charge, Parente was arrested on warrants charging him with failing to appear in court for breaking and entering, assault with a dangerous weapon and second-degree robbery cases, according to the release.

"Mr. Parente was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Little Compton Police Department on scene," the release said.
