Little Compton Police Charge 4, Investigate Illegal Dumping Last Week

The following arrests and incidents were reported by Little Compton police. They do not indicate a conviction.

ARRESTS:
Todd Durkee, 57, of 75 Tomkins Lane, Little Compton, charged with driving with a suspended license April 20 at 8:16 a.m. Police said Durkee was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and a brief investigation showed his license was suspended. He was charged and released.

Elizabeth Stearns, 60, of 40 Amesbury Lane, Little Compton, charged with driving with a suspended license April 21 at 9:51 p.m. She was stopped for a motor vehicle violation, police said, and a brief investigation showed her license was suspended. She was charged and released.

Josep DeBarros, 33, of 21 Slater St., Pawtucket, charged with driving with a suspended license April 24 at 7:18 a.m. He was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and a brief investigation showed his license was suspended. He was charged and released.

Matthew Alves, 29, of 46 Hambly St., Fall River, charged with a warrant for failing to appear n court April 24 at 12:36 p.m. Alves was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and officers discovered the warrant after a brief investigation. He was arrested and transferred to court.

On April 21 at around 1:26 p.m., police got an anonymous tip that someone has been illegally dumping trash by non-residents at the transfer station. The maintenance supervisor was notified and police are investigating.

On April 21, police responded to an Old Main Road address for a report of damage to a stone wall. The homeowner at 60 Old Main Road reported the incident. Police are investigating.
