Little Compton Resident Driver in Mass. Crash
The car accident happened in Cape Cod on Saturday.
A Little Compton woman was identified as the driver in a head-on Cape Cod crash that occurred on Saturday.
The Taunton Daily Gazette reported that 55-year-old Denise Wilkie, of Little Compton, drove the Subaru in the crash that resulted in the death of 76-year-old Lucille Francoeur, who was from Warwick.
Police in Wellfleet say Francoeur died after the wreck on Route 6 that happened at about 1:15 p.m. Saturday, when a northbound 2007 Subaru and a southbound 2014 Audi collided head-on. The Audi driver was identified as 46-year-old James Martin of Provincetown, Mass.

Wilkie and Martin are being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
