Man Found Passed Out in Middle of Road Charged with Drunk Driving
Police said Nicholas Medeiros, 25, of New Bedford, was unconscious in the middle of West Main Road.

Little Compton police charged 25-year-old Nicholas Medeiros, of New Bedford, Mass., with driving under the influence July 1 after an officer on patrol saw him passed out behind the wheel in the middle of West Main Road.
Police said the officer saw Medeiros’s car in the road at around 10:51 p.m.
The officer was able to wake him up and he showed signs of being intoxicated.

After failing a field sobriety test, he was arrested.
Medeiros was released on personal after pleading not guilty at his arraignment in Second Division District Court.

He is due to return to court on July 10 for a pretrial conference.
