Police Log: 11 Vehicle Break-Ins in Little Compton

Wednesday, Oct. 15

At 6:47 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident in front of Commons Lunch. There were no injuries reported.

At 3:52 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident in which a driver blew out a tire and struck a tree stump while traveling east on Peckman Road.

At 6:47 a.m., police reported three vehicle break-ins on Swamp Road. About $200 in gift cards, a GPS and loose change were taken from the unlocked vehicles.

At 6:54 a.m., police reported two vehicle break-ins at a Beach Street residence. No items were taken from the unlocked vehicles.

At 8:00 a.m., police reported two vehicle break-ins at a Taylor’s Lane South residence. A hardwired telephone, a purse containing 10 credit cards, an Apple iPad mini and an Apple desktop computer were taken from the unlocked vehicles.

At 8:27 a.m., police reported a vehicle break-in at a Swamp Road residence. No items were taken from the unlocked vehicle.

At 12:49 p.m., police reported a vehicle break-in at a Taylor’s Lane South residence. No items were taken from the unlocked vehicle. Police reported that small hand tools were missing from an unlocked storage shed at the residence.

1:39 p.m., police reported a vehicle break-in at a residence on Swamp Road. A cell phone and a depot card were taken from the unlocked vehicle.

At 5:45 p.m., police reported a vehicle break-in at a residence on Warrens Point Road. Three credit cards, a set of binoculars and an Mp3 player were taken from the unlocked vehicle.
