Police Log: Drivers Hit Deer, Tree in Motor Vehicle Accidents
Excerpts from the Little Compton Police Department log.
Monday, Feb. 9
At 7 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a small tree on John Dyer Road near Big Drum Road. Police say the incident was due to the weather and road conditions. The vehicle received minor damage and the driver was uninjured.

At 11:10 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle struck a deer while traveling south on Crandall Road. The deer ran out in front of the vehicle and fled before police arrived. The vehicle received minor damage and the driver was uninjured.
