Police Log: DUI Arrest, Snowbanks Cause Accident

Friday, March 6
At 11:06 p.m., police arrested Charles Copley, 74, 394 Long Highway of Little Compton, and charged him with driving under the influence of .8 to .15. Copley was arrested after officers issued a motor vehicle stop for a lane roadway violation and performed a DUI investigation on him.

At 3:53 a.m., police reported a domestic disturbance on Old Main Road. Officers investigated the incident and found that a verbal argument had occurred.

At 8:56 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident in which two vehicles were passing on John Dyer Road and struck one another’s side view mirror. Police said the accident was caused from the snow banks that were creating a narrow roadway.
