Police Log: Two Summonsed for Driving With Expired Driver's License
Excerpts from the Little Compton Police Department log.

Tuesday, March 10
At 5:45 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident on John Dyer Road in which a deer ran out in front of a vehicle. The driver was traveling northbound when he struck the animal, police reported. The animal was deceased upon arrival and the vehicle received minor damages. The driver was not injured.

At 10:25 a.m., a 40-year-old Newport man was issued a summons for driving with an expired driver’s license. Police stopped the driver for a motor vehicle violation.
