TIVERTON, RI — A rockslide has temporarily closed the on-ramp from Main Avenue in Tiverton to Route 24 northbound, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation said Monday afternoon.

State transportation officials said they expect the on-ramp will be cleared within a few hours.

Motorists should seek alternative routes.
