Roof Leak Damages Portion of Wilbur & McMahon School
A roof leak that began last week from all the snow has damaged a portion of the Wilbur & McMahon School in Little Compton.
A demolition crew was onsite today at the in Little Compton cleaning up the mess caused by a leaky roof adjacent to the school's main entrance.
A representative from AA Wreaking, out of Johnston, was gutting the water-damaged room. He said the hole caused by the leak was approximately 3-feet long by 3-feet wide.
Yellow checkered tape cordones off a section of the damaged roof on the western end of the school. The main entrance doors are open, and visitors are instructed to enter the school through its old entrance at 28 Commons.

Superintendent Kathryn Crowley said school was closed Tuesday while the damage was being assessed.
