Sandywoods Offers Contra Dancing, Cooking

TIVERTON, RI -- The Sandywoods Center for the Arts is presenting two classes this week -- a Contradance Class on Wednesday and a cooking class on Thursday.

According to the press release, partners are not necessary for the dancing, and children and families are welcome. Kids 16 and under dance for $4, while the general admission costs $8 and the family deal is $18.

Todd Whittemore and the French Connection provide the music.

Then Thursday at 5:30 p.m., it's time for the Yummy 3 ring circus.

"This will be an Autumn inspired evening, you will never forget," say the organizers, and "where you will learn knife skills, taste fabulous wine, be involved in cooking a wonderful dinner and then get to eat it."
