Serious Injury In Pedestrian Crash, Tiverton PD Looking For Suspect
A road rage incident led to a man being dragged by an SUV 50 feet before being run over, police said.

TIVERTON, RI — Tiverton police have asked for the public's help finding a vehicle from a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
Police said the crash happened around6:45 p.m., Sunday, in the 500th block of Bulgarmarsh Road. When officers arrived, they found a 32-year-old man unconscious on the side of the road.
Witnesses told police the victim was driving a Volkswagen sedan and was being followed by a dark-colored SUV. Then a road rage incident started, resulting in the victim getting out of his car, police said.

When the man got out of the sedan, police said the person driving the SUV stopped, backed up and then sped towards and struck the victim. The victim was dragged by the vehicle for about 50 feet before being run over. Police said the suspect then drove away east on Bulgarmarsh Road.
Police said the victim was rushed to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

The suspect's vehicle was a dark-colored Acura MDX, according to police.
