Tiverton: Fire on Lake Road
Little Compton, Fall River, Mass., and Tiverton departments are responding to two outbuildings engulfed on Lake Road.
TIVERTON, RI — Crews from Tiverton, Little Compton and Fall River, Mass., went to the scene of a fire on Lake Road. According to the Tiverton fire Chief Robert Lloyd, they found two outbuildings separate from the main structure. Both were fully involved when crews arrived.
The area is also in a section of Town where a lot of water is not readily available. Little Compton brought a tanker to assist, and the Tiverton truck pumped from that supply until more equipment arrived. One person, a civilian, suffered minor injuries. The fire is still under investigation. Chief Lloyd said the fire marshal will determine a cause. Right now, the belief is the fire started accidentally.
