Emergency Shelters:

Tiverton: Tiverton Middle School, at 10 Quintal Drive. It will be open at 8 p.m. until further notice.

Little Compton: Emergency Operations Center at the Public Safety Complex, 60 Simmons Road, 401-635-2311.

School and Business Closings and Delays:

• Little Compton Public Schools: Classes cancelled on Wednesday
• Tiverton Public Schools: Classes cancelled on Wednesday
• Future Scholars Preschool: Closed on Wednesday
• Sakonnet Early Learning Center: Closed on Wednesday
• Tiverton Public Library: Closed on Wednesday
• Little Peeps Montessori Naturskola: Closed on Wednesday
• Town of Tiverton:
  • Town Council Workshop on Wednesday is cancelled
  • Rubbish pick-up for Tuesday will be postponed one day, or more.
  • Town Hall will be closed Tuesday and possibly Wednesday.
  • Parking ban until further notice from the Tiverton Police Department.

Advice from Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency:

• If you use oil/propane to heat your home, clear a path to your fill pipe & clear fill vents so that you may receive fuel deliveries.
• Do not call 911 to report a power outage. Contact National Grid US at 1-800-465-1212 or visit here.
• Check on elderly family, friends and neighbors to make sure they are in good shape and to see if they need assistance with shoveling .
