1 Man Dies, Woman Injured In Warwick House Fire
Warwick fire officials say crews were called to the Holt Street home engulfed in flames with two people trapped inside.
WARWICK, RI — A man died, and a woman was taken to the hospital after a house fire in Warwick on Wednesday morning.
Fire officials said crews were called to the Holt Street home around 12:34 a.m. and found a house engulfed in flames. Two people were trapped inside the house, so a rescue apparatus was deployed.
Fire officials said one woman was rescued from the home and was taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation treatment. One man was also in the home, but he was already dead when firefighters found him, officials said. Police have not yet identified the man.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the fire or has video or other information is urged to call the Warwick Police Department at 401-468-4200, and ask to speak with Detective Bell.
