• Warwick Panel Questions Rossi Electric's 3% Warranty Fee (upriseri.com) — Warwick's Building Committee is scrutinizing whether Rossi Electric's 3% "warranty" fee on high school construction change orders is an extra charge on top of the standard 10% markup. Members delayed any decision until their Oct. 7 meeting, asking for a full accounting of how much this fee has cost so far on the Pilgrim and Toll Gate projects.
   

• Chaminade (NY) stuns Hendricken with last-second TD (wpri.com) — Fans in Warwick saw Bishop Hendricken lose a heartbreaker in its season opener, giving up a last-second touchdown to New York's Chaminade in an 18–17 defeat. Senior quarterback Isaiah Brito connected twice with receiver Javien Valle for scores, and the Hawks will try to rebound at home next Saturday against Daniel Hand of Connecticut.
