Gardens by the Sea (June 12 &amp; 13, 10-4 both days) is a self-guided garden tour through the historic Borough of Stonington. Experience the beauty hidden beyond its garden gates and explore waterfront vistas, terraced landscapes, and enchanted pocket gardens, designed in styles ranging from formal to eclectic. "Plein Air" artists will be painting in selected gardens. All gardens are within walking distance, and free parking will be available. In addition, there will be a tented Marketplace on Wadawanuck Square featuring a wide variety of vendors offering garden-inspired items, clothing, jewelry, and home decor. A spectacular beach race featuring stunning views! The half marathon course runs into the pristine neighborhoods of Watch Hill first before entering Weekapaug and running along the coastline and through the picturesque beach community. The Surftown Half Marathon, presented by Westerly Hospital, is a destination race not to miss, with additional distance options available.
The 2-person relay gives runners a chance to experience part of the awesome Surftown Half course split with a buddy for 5.1 mile and 8 mile legs. Relay participants exchange within walking distance of the pre/post-race area.
The 5K race offers a 3.1 mile beachy run to remember! The flat and fast course travels out-and-back along Winnapaug Pond and the Misquamicut beach community and starts shortly after the 13.1 mile race kicks off.
All participants earn a funky beach-themed finisher medal, a high quality short sleeve technical shirt and a post-race party by the beach with Flanders Fish Market chowder and a complimentary ice-cold beer from Grey Sail Brewing (21+ w/ID only).
TRI-STATE TRIPLE: A great excuse to explore southern New England and keep moving through the fall! Pick and choose the distance of choice from three signature events that provide flexibility to meet new goals. A building long familiar to local residents as a beloved auto body shop in the Mago Point section of Waterford has been thoughtfully reintroduced as Gather 360, a boutique gathering space designed for smaller, memorable celebrations. The venue is especially suited for bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, micro-weddings, and other intimate gatherings. Rather than a traditional banquet hall, the setting feels relaxed and welcoming, allowing guests to open the three-bay garage doors and move comfortably between indoor gathering rooms and the surrounding outdoor areas. Natural textures, warm wood tones, and lush garden spaces create an atmosphere that feels tucked away, encouraging conversation and connection rather than formality. The grounds include a reservable pickleball court for members along landscaped paths and gardens that attract seasonal monarch butterflies, giving visitors a reason to linger and return beyond a single event. The property also features Gather 360 Eats, a one-of-a-kind coastal container kitchen offering familiar local favorites prepared with a simple, elevated approach. Guests may order online or at the service window and enjoy outdoor dining throughout the property. Gather 360 is currently booking events and welcoming guests for the 2026 season.

Rustic-chic private farm venue in scenic Stonington, CT 

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. Outdoor tented events are our specialty, with numerous locations on-site that are picturesque for your celebration. Outdoor tented celebrations can accommodate up to 250 guests.
