Westerly Library & Wilcox Park: DIY Pickling And Fermenting Demo

Please join us for a virtual how-to on quick pickling and fermenting! The first half of the class we'll be focusing on pickling with the vegetables of your choice, and the second half will be fermenting peppers to use in creating hot sauce. We encourage you to use your own harvest of vegetables and chili peppers!

We'll have a limited amount of starter kits available for pick up. You must reserve in advance, and they are only for those participating in the demo.

Kits will include: (2) 32 oz. mason jars and fermenting lid, (2) 5 oz. hot sauce bottles, sea salt, and a short list of additional pantry needs. If you already have many of these items, please feel free to reserve the kits for those that need them!

Registration is required for this program. Please register by Wednesday, July 28th. You'll receive a Zoom invitation the morning of the program.
