Understanding Your Medicare Presentation

Representatives from RI State Health Insurance Program (RI SHIP) and Tri-County Community Action have partnered with Westerly Library and Wilcox Park to offer an information and interactive Medicare presentation, which may be especially valuable to seniors in Rhode Island.

This ZOOM Medicare program offers two main components:

1. How to enroll in, and manage, your Medicare coverages: Provides practical advice on available Medicare Plans (Part A, Part B, Medicare Advantage Plans, Prescription Drug Plans and Supplemental or Medigap plans). This includes enrollment tips, plan comparison tools and coverage and care management.
2. How to Prevent, Detect, and Report Medicare Abuse and Fraud: Describes how errors, abuse and fraud victimize Medicare beneficiaries and provides practical advice on how to spot questionable practices, avoid being victimized and how to report errors, abuse and fraud when it is detected.
