• Water Over the Dam: A Retrospective on the Big River Reservoir Debacle (rimonthly.com) — West Greenwich residents and town leaders are still grappling with the legacy of land seized decades ago for a Big River reservoir that was never built, even as the last longtime families finally move out. The town's new comprehensive plan pushes the state to permanently protect nearly a quarter of West Greenwich's land as preserved forest, while a new museum and senior center aim to keep memories of the lost farms and homes alive.
