• Warwick Woman Pulled Over And Arrested: Police (patch.com) — West Warwick readers may want to know that state police say a 29-year-old Warwick woman was stopped on Glenn Drive around 1:30 a.m. Saturday and arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended, revoked, or canceled license. Police report she was processed at Hope Valley and held overnight as a probation violator, pending arraignment in Third Division District Court.
   

• From pitchers to pitching: Local bartender turned MLB hurler's debut celebrated (turnto10.com) — West Warwick sports fans have a new hometown hero to cheer as former West Warwick High School and Rhode Island College pitcher Andrew Sears made his MLB debut for the Detroit Tigers. Friends, former teammates, and coworkers gathered at a South Kingstown brewery to watch, celebrating the local bartender-turned-big-leaguer's milestone and hoping it's the start of a long major league career.
