• Coventry man charged with DUI: Cops (patch.com) — West Warwick readers are learning that a 28-year-old Coventry man was stopped on Interstate 95 in town and charged with driving under the influence, according to Rhode Island State Police. He also allegedly refused a chemical test before being processed at the Wickford Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a notice to appear in court.
   

• Ceremonies for 25th anniversary of 9/11 held around RI, Mass. (wpri.com) — West Warwick residents are invited to a 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at 5 p.m. at the JAYCEE Corridor and Arboretum in Riverpoint Community Park, with a pavilion backup if it rains. The roundup also lists many other Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts observances, blood drives, and service projects marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
