West Warwick Woman Charged With Stealing More Than $10K In Property: Cops

She was also charged with fraudulently obtaining more than $50 in public assistance, police said.

WEST WARWICK, RI — A West Warwick woman was charged with stealing more than $10,000 worth of property, police said.

Dekeya Grandy, 34, was arrested about 4 p.m. Wednesday on charges of obtaining more than $10,000 worth of property by false pretenses or personation, accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes, and fraudulently obtaining more than $500 in public assistance, the rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Grandy surrendered at state police headquarters and was processed and arraigned before she was released with a notice to appear in court, police said.
