• Woonsocket Woman Wanted On Shoplifting Charge Apprehended: Cops (patch.com) — Residents in Woonsocket may notice increased police activity after a 46-year-old local woman wanted on a shoplifting charge was stopped and arrested on Elm Street Monday morning. State police say she was processed at headquarters and then turned over to Pawtucket authorities in connection with their case.
   

• Former bank employee charged again in Federal Hill heist (wpri.com) — Woonsocket surfaces in a high-profile Federal Hill bank heist case, where police say they searched suspect Tracey Delgado's Woonsocket home and found safes, cash and distinctive $2 bills. Delgado, a former bank employee, has now been re-indicted alongside her husband, while a third defendant has already been sentenced and most of the nearly $500,000 remains missing.
   

• Newport projects among 10 statewide Rhody Award winners for historic preservation (whatsupnewp.com) — Woonsocket's Millrace District is being honored statewide for transforming three historic mill buildings into 70 housing units, putting the city on Rhode Island's preservation map. The project joins Newport, Narragansett and Providence winners in this year's Rhody Awards, which will be celebrated at a public event in Providence this October.
