Ardent Displays to Take Former Walmart Space
The announcement was made Tuesday morning in a press conference by Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt in Harris Hall.
The Walmart space at 1919 Diamond Hill Road is getting a new owner.
The Valley Breeze reported that Ardent Displays and Packaging, of East Hartford, Conn., will relocate its fabrication and sales departments to the structure. Approximately 48 people, some from Ardent’s other locations, will work there.
Ardent “plans to occupy an 80,000-square-foot portion of the building and make minor changes to the exterior of the property by adding more loading docks for deliveries and shipping,” according to Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt’s press release regarding new businesses in the city.
