Bernon's Elks lost to Johnston last night in a game that ended 10-5 and players on base. Â
The Elks played hard and even better, they played like fine young men, said parent Lisa Godfrin. "It was wonderful as a parent  to watch my child have a fun season.  Although they had more wins than losses, it was never about playoffs or states, it was about having fun.  Manager Ron Masse told them this at the beginning of the season and they kept that goal alive all season," she said.
Godfrin said Bernon Little League is very proud not just of what the boys accomplished this season, but also of the character they showed while accomplishing it.
