Fast, fresh and delicious: if you like variety in the morning, you'll love Yolks.

With an enormous selection of breakfast options, from flavored pancakes and omelettes to muffins and croissants, Yolks on Diamond Hill Road offers enough variety to make it a regular morning stop. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable, not exactly a fancy meal out (but, hey, it's just breakfast,) and the dining room is large, clean and well-lit.
We arrived well past the normal breakfast crowd and were seated immediately. The impressive menu had options for fresh fruit and waffles along with plenty of tradition breakfast offerings, making for some tough choices. We picked the eggs benedict, and a bacon, onion and Swiss omelette with rye toast.
The service was incredibly friendly and very casual, with our waitress joking with us like old friends despite that fact that is was our first trip to the establishment. Hot coffee and orange juice arrived at the table and our order was placed within two minutes of walking through the door.Β

The portions were huge and served piping hot. The home fries could have been a bit crisper, but with that small exception, everything was delicious and affordable. The seeded rye toast and creamy hollandaise sauce took the show and the waitress laughed when the omelette was more than my guest could handle.Β
- Breakfast for two at Yolks
- In and out in less than 45 minutes
- Two coffees, two small orange juices
- Total bill: $18.88Β
Final verdict: we will return often to try other many more of the restaurant's breakfast options. We ordered some of more expensive choices on the menu, but it was still a very decent bargain for the size and quality of the plate. Overall, a great morning stop.
