Books and Bling Party!
Hear local author Stacy Juba read from her new book "Fooling Around with Cinderella" and shop for SWAROVSKI's Touchstone Crystal jewelry!
Drop-In Books and Bling Party - December 3 at Blackstone Public Library
BLACKSTONE - The Friends of the Blackstone Library will host a “Books and Bling” party on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. in the Blackstone Public Library. Local author Stacy Juba of Blackstone will discuss her new chick lit/contemporary romance novel Fooling Around With Cinderella, do a reading, and sign copies of her books for adults, teens, and children. Renee Fleming of Douglas, Director with SWAROVSKI’s Touchstone Crystal, will sell pieces from the collection including necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings with half of the Touchstone Crystal collection available at less than $50. Some of the jewelry purchased can be brought home that night, and some can be ordered and shipped with home delivery guaranteed before Christmas. Twenty percent of jewelry sales will go to the Friends of the Blackstone Public Library to benefit library programming.
SWAROVSKI created the glass slippers, tiara, and adorned the gowns for the 2015 Disney Cinderella movie, which inspired the partnership between Juba and Fleming.

Fooling Around With Cinderella is the first in Juba’s Storybook Valley series, set at a theme park. When Jaine Andersen proposes a new marketing role to the local amusement park, general manager Dylan Callahan charms her into filling Cinderella’s glass slippers for the summer. Her reign transforms Jaine’s ordinary life into chaos that would bewilder a fairy godmother.
“The fit could not be any better…We are SWAROVSKI, SWAROVSKI is Cinderella,” said Fleming. “We all do believe that every woman deserves a little sparkle.”

Extra tickets will be awarded for bringing a friend, purchasing a paperback copy of the book, spending $50 or more in jewelry, spending $100 or more in jewelry, buying a $5 Friends of the Blackstone Library bag, and for wearing something festive. For every home party booked at the event, where hosts can earn hundreds in free jewelry, an additional $50 will be donated to the Friends.
While the event offers drop-in book and jewelry shopping from 6-8 p.m., the reading and presentation will take place at 6:30. The first fifty people to attend the presentation will receive a special Cinderella-themed party favor. Coffee and light desserts will be served.
