- The City of Woonsocket will be offering a Moderna COVID-19 booster clinic at Monsignor Gadoury School 1371 Park Avenue in Woonsocket. - Erica Sanzi, the director of outreach at Parents Defending Education and a former educator and school committee member, wrote a recent op-ed piece blasting NEA Director Bob Walsh for comments he made about stay-at-home moms and their public school advocacy. (Facebook)
- Woonsocket School Department plans to roll out 'high dosage' tutoring to target the pandemic loss. The plans come after test results released last month showed Woonsocket students performed the worst in the state on the 2021 Rhode Island Comprehensive Assessment System (RICAS). In addition to tutoring, they plan to hire additional academic support staff and social workers across the district. (Valley Breeze)
- In her first official meeting as acting executive director of the Woonsocket Housing Authority (WHA), Vasiliki Milios, warned that years of deferred maintenance at WHA properties could lead to a spending spree over the next six to 12 months. WHA has the cash. (Woonsocket Housing Authority)

- The Stadium Theatre presents Ornament, southern New England's premier rock orchestra that performs a tribute to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Friday night at 8 pm. The amazing musical production is bursting sound and a dazzling light show including strobes, lasers, and fog.
