Community Care Alliance Announces Holiday Program Application Schedule

Adopt A Family Applications

Community Care Alliance will hold application sessions for the Adopt-A-Family holiday program in Woonsocket beginning Monday September 28th. The sessions will be held at Community Care Alliance, 55 Main Street, Woonsocket on Mondays from 10am-12pm; Tuesdays from 4-7pm; and Thursdays from 1-3pm.

Low-income families with children born between January 1, 2003 and time of application who live in Woonsocket are invited to apply. Applications are not accepted from families living outside of Woonsocket. Applicants must bring the following with them when they apply: Picture ID, SNAP letter (food stamps), proof of all household income, birth certificates for all members of the household, current lease or rent receipt and utility bill, social security cards for all members of the household, documentation of any existing crisis illustrating why the family is in particular need at this time, documentation of enrollment in job training, ESL, GED, or advanced education programs, clothing sizes for children born between January 1, 2003 and time of application, and two local phone numbers through which they can be reached. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Individuals are encouraged to pick up applications and complete them if possible before attending the sessions. Copies of applications are available at the following Community Care Alliance office locations: 245 Main Street; 55 Main Street; and 181 Cumberland Street. Recipients of Adopt-A-Family and other holiday programs are selected according to need. The application period for the Adopt-A-Family program ends November 19th. Late applications cannot be accepted.
